Big and small images and big and small type are the most obvious uses of size to create contrast. Contrasting white space i.e. the physical size of the template with an element of the design is another method.

Next time you watch a presentation (yours or someone else's) try to think about how contrast is being used or not being used... and learn from it!  Tobias Schelle
